Israel’s Sheba Medical Center to Partner with Vietnamese University

August 2023

VinUni, a university affiliated with the Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup, and the Sheba Medical Center (, the largest hospital in Israel, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance collaboration in 3D technology and medical education in the Southeast Asian country.

Accordingly, both sides will share programs on professional development and information exchange in a range of medical disciplines, which cover in-person expert meetings, online training, and expert consultations.

Sheba will organize training courses and various programs allowing participants to experience advanced medical infrastructure and hospital equipment. It will also send experts to healthcare facilities to share knowledge and on-site treatment skills, and provide virtual healthcare training with expert interactions.

Additionally, Sheba will provide advice on several issues, including analysis, assessment, IT implementation, digital transformation, equipment acquisition, hiring of staff, policy-making, designing training programs, and planning.

VinUni is a private and nonprofit university located in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was established by the private corporate Vingroup. Though being one of the youngest universities in Asia, VinUni has built strategic collaborations with top-tier universities, such as Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania.

Located in the Tel Aviv suburb of Ramat Gan, Sheba Medical Center, still often referred to by its original name Tel HaShomer, is now Israel’s largest hospital and one of its top-rated. Sheba is ranked was the best hospital in the world by Newsweek from 2019 to 2023.
