Gamuda Land Unveils Horizon Mall, a New Open-Air Retail Landmark in Johor

August 2025

Gamuda Land, one of Malaysia’s major property developers is set to launch Horizon Mall, a new lifestyle retail destination in Iskandar Puteri, Johor state, by late 2026.  The project coincides with the expected completion of the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link between Johor Bahru and Singapore, which is anticipated to boost cross-border travel and increase retail demand from Singaporean visitors.

Located within the Horizon Hills township, the development will feature an open-air, greenery-focused mall concept spanning 150,000 square feet. The mall is designed to serve nearby residential areas such as Nusa Bestari, Bukit Indah, and Eco Botanic, with anchor tenants including Village Grocer, Padi House, ChaTraMue, and Starbucks. Positioned next to Horizon Square, a fully sold-out commercial hub, Horizon Mall aims to enhance the township’s attractiveness by prioritizing walkability, family-friendly design, and daily convenience. Its location also offers easy access, just 35 minutes from Tuas Checkpoint and 50 minutes from Woodlands Checkpoint, making it a strategic retail destination for cross-border shoppers.

Beyond shopping, Horizon Mall will be situated adjacent to the Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club, home to an 18-hole championship course, and just 10 minutes from LEGOLAND Malaysia. With a mix of F&B, retail, and lifestyle tenants, the mall is positioned as a mid-sized retail hub catering to both local residents and international visitors.
