Philippine Seven Corp. (PSC), the exclusive licensor of 7-Eleven in the Philippines, expects to surpass 5,000 stores by 2026, driven by aggressive expansion in the Visayas and Mindanao.
PSC will invest PHP 5.5 billion (USD 94 million) this year to open 500 new stores, more than half in underserved regions with low rental costs. To support growth, new distribution centers will open in Ormoc City, Leyte and Zamboanga City.
As of the first quarter of 2025, 7-Eleven operated 4,200 stores, with 177 added in the first half and 100 more under construction.
Despite a 6% drop in net income to PHP 600.8 million (USD 10.3 million) in Q1 due to weaker same-store sales, system-wide sales rose 4.8% to PHP 23.1 billion (USD ~395 million). PSC said the new U.S. tariff on Philippine goods would have minimal effect, as the business relies on domestic sales.
