Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF) of Thailand and NH Foods Ltd. of Japan have formed a joint venture, CPF NH Foods Co., Ltd., to produce and market processed pork products across Asia. The venture combines CPF’s experience in food production and distribution with NH Foods’ expertise in product development and advanced manufacturing.
The collaboration is established between CPF Food and Beverage Co., Ltd. (CPFFB), a CPF subsidiary, and NH Foods. Production will take place at CPF’s processing facility in Chachoengsao province, Thailand. The joint venture will serve consumers in Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and other Asian countries.
Under the agreement, CPFFB will provide premium pork raw materials that comply with international food safety standards. NH Foods will apply its global experience in developing high-quality processed meat products. The partnership aims to meet growing demand for safe and reliable protein while supporting sustainable manufacturing practices in the region.
CPF Chief Executive Officer Prasit Boondoungprasert stated that the cooperation demonstrates both companies’ goal to enhance Asia’s food production standards through innovation and responsible operations. NH Foods President and Chief Executive Officer Nobuhisa Ikawa noted that the venture strengthens long-term collaboration between the two firms and supports business expansion in Asian markets.
The joint venture follows a previous partnership in which CPF imported premium beef from NH Foods to Thailand. This new alliance is expected to improve both companies’ competitiveness and contribute to sustainable growth in the regional food industry.
