Diamond Donuts Internasional Secures Exclusive Master Franchise Rights for Dunkin’ Indonesia from Inspire Brands

November 2025

Inspire Brands, the parent company of leading restaurant chains including Arby’s, Baskin-Robbins, Buffalo Wild Wings, Jimmy John’s, and SONIC, has named Jakarta-based PT Diamond Donuts Internasional (DDI) as the exclusive master franchisee for Dunkin’ in Indonesia. Under the agreement, DDI will directly own and manage all Dunkin’ outlets across Indonesia, while also collaborating with sub-franchisees to expand the brand’s presence and accessibility nationwide.

Co-founded by Kelvin Subowo, Founder and CEO of DailyCo, and helmed by experienced F&B entrepreneur Juan Chene as Managing Director, DDI will leverage its exclusive rights to expand Dunkin’s presence and elevate guest experiences across Indonesia.

DDI plans to launch the first new Dunkin’ location in Jakarta in the fourth quarter of 2025, marking the start of a phased nationwide rollout. The expansion will introduce a variety of store formats, from flagship outlets in high-traffic areas to smaller neighborhood cafés, designed to suit diverse locations and customer preferences.

The appointment of DDI as master franchisee marks the beginning of a new growth chapter for Dunkin’ in Indonesia, combining fresh capital, product innovation, and local insight with global best practices to strengthen its appeal among young coffee and donut lovers.

In recent years, Indonesia’s bakery sector has expanded significantly, generating over USD 50 billion in annual revenue, according to the Indonesian Bakery Producers Association. Industry researchers project that the baked goods market will maintain strong momentum, growing at an average yearly rate of 9.4% between 2025 and 2029. Meanwhile, the local coffee industry is expected to rise by about 7% annually through 2031. This sustained growth is driven by increasing disposable incomes, rapid urbanization, and evolving consumer lifestyles that increasingly view bakery products as essential components of daily meals and snacks.

Now at the helm of DDI, Juan brings a distinguished track record in Indonesia’s bakery, bread, and quick-service confectionery sectors. As a key driver behind the growth of prominent Southeast Asian F&B brands such as Foodpanda, Yummy Corp, DailyCo, and Zalora, he blends deep industry expertise with a technology-led approach to enhancing customer experiences. Backed by a strong network, robust supply chain capabilities, and proven experience scaling consumer brands across the local market, Juan is leading DDI in executing Dunkin’s ambitious expansion strategy throughout Indonesia.

Celebrating 75 years of coffee and donut leadership, Dunkin’ operates more than 14,000 restaurants in nearly 40 countries worldwide, serving an extensive range of beverages and food—from signature coffees and espresso drinks to donuts, sandwiches, and snacks crafted with both classic and locally inspired flavors.
