Sirkular Karya Indonesia (SKI), a subsidiary of Impack Pratama Industri, has entered into a strategic partnership with Marubeni Indonesia and DNP Indonesia (DNP) to launch Indonesia’s first large-scale industrial initiative dedicated to transforming plastic waste into sustainable building materials. As the first industrial-scale initiative of its kind, the project aims to provide sustainable building materials accessible to all communities, while combating plastic pollution and supporting Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. 75 of 2019, which outlines the Roadmap for Waste Reduction by Producers.
Under this collaboration, plastic waste from DNP’s production facility, which was previously disposed of via high-temperature incineration, is now collected and transformed by SKI into durable, recyclable, and innovative building products. The products will be marketed nationwide under the Alduro Roof brand for roofing applications and the Alduro Board for wall partitions. With the launch of Alduro, communities across different regions and income levels will gain access to safer, more affordable, and environmentally friendly building solutions.
This collaboration unites the strengths of three key partners: SKI, leveraging its expertise in innovative and sustainable building materials; Marubeni Indonesia, contributing its extensive global network and experience in sustainable business development; and DNP Indonesia, demonstrating a strong commitment to responsible waste management. In addition to its domestic impact, the partnership also paves the way for potential joint efforts in exporting green building products.
The partnership represents a significant step forward in promoting circular-economy practices in Indonesia, demonstrating that recycled products can be competitive, socially inclusive, and environmentally beneficial. At the same time, the three companies reaffirm their shared commitment to transforming waste into opportunity and building a cleaner, stronger, and more sustainable future for the country.
