Tesla Leads Philippine EV Market, Sets Energy Efficiency Benchmarks

January 2026

Tesla closed its first year in the Philippines as the country’s clear leader in battery electric vehicles, capturing 54% of the BEV market based on latest CAMPI–TMA sales data. More than 2,200 units of the Model 3 and Model Y have been delivered to Filipino customers, underscoring strong early demand for premium EVs.

The company also set new national benchmarks at the 2025 Fuel Economy Run conducted by the Department of Energy. The Tesla Model 3 (RWD) ranked as the most energy-efficient vehicle in the Philippines with a rating of 92.31 km/Lge, followed by the Model Y (RWD) at 84.63 km/Lge, outperforming all other electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles tested.

Beyond vehicle performance, Tesla continues to expand its local charging ecosystem, now operating three Supercharger stations and six Destination Charging sites nationwide. Combined with competitive charging rates and ownership incentives—including referral credits and complimentary insurance offers—Tesla is positioning itself to accelerate EV adoption as the Philippine market shifts toward cleaner and more energy-efficient mobility.
