The facility will focus on advanced food processing machinery, digital tools, and data-driven production solutions, catering to the growing regional demand for efficient and sustainable protein processing.
The Shah Alam plant will serve as both a production site and innovation hub, initially concentrating on sub-assembly and local sourcing. It aims to scale its role within BAADER’s global network, supporting the poultry and fish processing industries with customized, high-performance solutions. The new center complements BAADER’s longstanding presence in Singapore and Beijing, positioning Malaysia as a key node in its supply chain and innovation ecosystem. With global protein demand projected to rise by over 50% by 2050, BAADER’s regional expansion is timely and aligned with food security and sustainability goals. This strategic investment marks a significant expansion of the company’s operations in Southeast Asia and highlights its commitment to enhancing innovation, customer proximity, and local economic participation
By establishing a strong base in Malaysia, BAADER also reinforces Selangor’s ambitions to become a hub for advanced manufacturing. The investment is expected to create high-skilled job opportunities and contribute to Malaysia’s vision of becoming a leader in sustainable food processing technologies. The new facility will help minimize food waste, boost processing efficiency, and support local partners in adopting state-of-the-art systems, ensuring the region remains competitive in the global protein market.
