Indonesian and Korean Agencies Launch Green Technology Partnership Initiative

The Indonesian Agency for Technology Assessment and Application (BPPT) and the Green Technology Center Korea (GTC-K) announced a partnership through the launch of the Green Technology Partnership Initiative (GTPI) in August 2019. The two organizations will work together on research and projects to develop renewable Energy, pure water, the fishery industry and smart agriculture.

BPPT is a non-ministerial government agency under the coordination of the Ministry for Research and Technology, which has the task of carrying out government duties in the field of assessment and application of technology. The GTC-K is a Seoul-based thinktank funded by the government, which coordinates and supports green technology research and development policies.

Hammam Riza, the head of the BPPT noted the launch of the GTPI partnership would enhance green technology R&D in Indonesia, as well as strengthen multilateral partnerships between the government, institutions, industries, international organizations and civil society.
