Kimberly-Clark Invests SGD 25 million in Tuas Plant

June 2019

Signaling its third investment in four years, Kimberly-Clark announced a new investment of SGD 25 million (USD 18.3 million) in its factory in Tuas, Singapore, which aims to double its export volume and value by the end of 2022. Funding will be allocated to expand production capacity for its premium Huggies pull-up pants and diapers as well as enhance its Huggies baby wipes product. The investment will also include a number of Industry 4.0 solutions, including self-guided vehicles and advanced warehouse management systems.

Last year, Kimberly Clark injected 18 million (USD 13.2 million) in the Tuas facility to double its output capacity for baby wipes and create an innovation lab. Previously, the company invested approximately SGD 400 million (USD 293.4 million) in Singapore, which was used to set up two advanced production lines at the Tuas Plant. Singapore is the headquarters for the company in the Asia-Pacific region.
