Philips Partners with Indonesian Companies to Produce Medical Devices Locally

March 2026

Philips announced partnerships with Indonesian medical device manufacturers PT PHC Indonesia and PT Graha Teknomedika to produce ultrasound systems and patient monitoring equipment in Indonesia. The initiative is intended to meet domestic demand and comply with Domestic Component Level requirements while supporting the development of the national medical device industry.

Philips currently employs more than 3,900 people across 12 cities in Indonesia, including at its manufacturing facility in Batam. The cooperation combines the company’s health technology expertise with local manufacturing capabilities to support technology transfer and workforce development.

Through its partnership with PT PHC Indonesia, Philips plans to explore local production of ultrasound systems for hospitals and clinics. The systems provide real time imaging for applications such as general imaging, cardiology, and women’s health.

Philips is also cooperating with PT Graha Teknomedika to produce hospital patient monitoring systems. These devices measure vital signs including heart rate, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure. The systems are designed to support monitoring of patients in hospitals, particularly those requiring continuous observation.

The company has also worked with healthcare providers, partners, and government stakeholders to support hospitals and clinics across Indonesia through medical technology services and clinical training. In addition, Philips previously announced a multi-year agreement with the Indonesian Ministry of Health to deploy image guided therapy systems across all 38 provinces under the Strengthening Indonesia’s Healthcare Referral Network project.
