Spanish Automotive Supplier Antolin Expands to Indonesia

October 2025

Spain-based Antolin, a global leader in automotive interior technology solutions, has officially opened a new manufacturing plant in Indonesia. The facility represents a significant milestone in the company’s expansion strategy across Southeast Asia and was established in collaboration with local partner AAA, a joint venture between APM and Armada Autoparts.

Indonesia is emerging as a strategic market for Antolin, driven by the country’s robust industrial growth, regional connectivity, and growing commitment to electric mobility. With this expansion, the company strengthens its footprint in Asia, where it already collaborates with many of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers.

The newly established plant will begin operations with the production of headliners, with plans to expand into door panels, lighting systems, and integrated electronic solutions. These offerings form part of Antolin’s core value proposition in modular and intelligent interior systems, aimed at streamlining assembly processes and enhancing manufacturers’ operational efficiency.

Amid the rapid push toward electrification across the Asian market, the new facility is set to bolster major electric mobility projects and deepen Antolin’s collaboration with both global and regional manufacturers. These include established partners such as Hyundai, Isuzu, SGM-Wuling, and Mitsubishi, along with several Chinese OEMs that have solidified their manufacturing presence in Indonesia. Through this initiative, Antolin underscores its commitment to advancing the shift toward sustainable mobility by innovating from within the vehicle interior.

The company plans to introduce its range of sustainable interior solutions to customers in Indonesia, featuring recycled materials, bio-based adhesives, and environmentally responsible manufacturing processes. In line with this commitment, Antolin, together with its partner AAA, is exploring the development of a joint pilot project for a fully sustainable vehicle interior—one that could set a new benchmark for both the local and regional markets.

Beyond advancing product innovation, the new center underscores Antolin and AAA’s strong commitment to fostering local industrial growth. Both companies have outlined a collaborative plan focused on talent development, knowledge transfer, and close engagement with local suppliers, aimed at creating sustainable, long-term value for Indonesia’s economy.

The new facility marks Antolin’s strengthened presence in Indonesia and the region, underscoring its dedication to nurturing local talent, advancing sustainability, and driving innovation in automotive interior solutions for the future.
