SUEZ has entered into a strategic joint venture with Sonadezi, a state-owned Vietnamese industrial park developer, to provide integrated environmental solutions at Chau Duc Industrial Park – the largest of its kind in southern Vietnam. This collaboration marks SUEZ’s first industrial park project in Vietnam and its 22nd in Asia, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting sustainable industrial growth in the region.
Located just over an hour from Ho Chi Minh City, Chau Duc Industrial Park serves as a key hub for sectors such as semiconductors, mechanical manufacturing, and automotive components. The initial phase of the partnership will focus on upgrading and operating the park’s existing wastewater treatment facilities, delivering comprehensive solutions to over 100 industrial clients. As environmental standards continue to rise, the joint venture plans to explore advanced technologies to further enhance water and waste services within the park.
Vietnam, having developed over 400 industrial parks since 1963, is actively pursuing the transformation of 40% to 50% of these into eco-industrial parks by 2030. SUEZ, with its extensive experience in managing environmental services across Asia, is well-positioned to contribute to this national initiative. The company has been collaborating with local partners in Vietnam since 1955, undertaking more than 20 projects focused on sustainable water and wastewater management.
This joint venture with Sonadezi represents a significant step in advancing Vietnam’s environmental objectives, providing reliable and cost-effective solutions to support the country’s sustainable industrial development.
