U Power and Whale Logistics Partner to Deploy Battery Swapping Trucks in Thailand

January 2026

U Power Limited, a provider of AI-powered solutions for energy grids and intelligent transportation, announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, U SWAP Company Limited, has signed a strategic partnership with Whale Logistics. The agreement will support the deployment of commercial battery-swapping electric trucks in Thailand.

Whale Logistics is part of Whale Logistics Group, one of Thailand’s leading integrated logistics providers, operating across key locations including Laem Chabang and the Eastern Economic Corridor. The company offers warehousing, yard operations, and end-to-end logistics services with internationally aligned operating systems.

Under the partnership, U Power has secured an order for 1,000 battery-swapping electric vehicles. The first batch of 30 vehicles is scheduled for delivery in April 2026, marking the start of U Power’s commercial operations in Thailand and establishing a foundation for wider industry adoption.

The collaboration aims to create a commercial model for battery-swapping trucks in Southeast Asia. U Power’s technology is expected to support Whale Logistics’ Green Logistics strategy by providing a fully clean-energy solution, helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy efficiency, optimize operating costs, and strengthen long-term competitiveness in Thailand and the broader ASEAN region.

The partnership aligns with both companies’ sustainability objectives and represents a step toward modernizing Thailand’s logistics industry. It also reflects U Power’s broader strategy to expand its battery-swapping EV ecosystem across commercial transportation markets in Southeast Asia, integrating clean-energy solutions to enhance operational efficiency and environmental performance.
