DBS Teams Up with Frasers Property for Community-Centric Retail Innovation

DBS Bank, a financial services institution, and Frasers Property, a real estate group, have established a three-year strategic partnership aimed at strengthening Singapore’s heartland economy and advancing social impact through Frasers Property’s extensive retail network. The collaboration aims to provide deeper support to over 2,000 retail tenants across 11 prominent suburban malls, which collectively serve close to half of Singapore’s population and see an average monthly shopper traffic of two million. Well-known malls like Northpoint City, Waterway Point, Causeway Point, and Tiong Bahru Plaza are among those set to benefit from this partnership.

The initiative will facilitate the digital transformation of retail tenants by encouraging greater adoption of digital payments and providing innovative financial solutions. Tenants will also receive exclusive benefits, such as preferential rates on banking services and support through DBS’ SG60 Heartland Merchant Banking package. For consumers, DBS/POSB cardholders will be able to convert rewards points to digital vouchers redeemable with participating tenants, and shoppers will enjoy gamified marketing campaigns for novel retail experiences.

Beyond business support, the partnership is geared towards creating broader social impact. DBS Foundation and Frasers Property will roll out community initiatives, including the Nutrition and Social Connection Programme for vulnerable seniors and the Inclusion Champions programme to equip retail staff in supporting individuals with dementia and neurodivergent needs. These efforts aim to foster more compassionate, inclusive, and resilient heartland retail environments.

Both organizations highlighted the partnership as a significant move to boost retail innovation, empower local businesses, reward shoppers, and uplift communities. Combining Frasers Property’s strong suburban mall presence with DBS’ financial expertise seeks to create a dynamic ecosystem committed to supporting merchants, enriching shopper experiences, and building more inclusive neighbourhoods across Singapore.
