Agridence Acquires Geneva’s Traceability Platform Farmer Connect

September 2025

Singapore-based agritech firm Agridence Group has acquired Geneva-based Farmer Connect, combining the two digital platforms to strengthen global traceability and compliance in agricultural commodity supply chains. Agridence, which already provides supply chain transparency tools for crops like palm oil, cocoa, coconut, and natural rubber, will integrate Farmer Connect’s expertise, especially in blockchain, consumer traceability, and regulatory compliance.

Farmer Connect, founded in 2019, has been known for its tools in coffee and cocoa traceability, including features like the “Thank My Farmer” app. More recently, its services have leaned heavily into regulatory compliance, particularly helping producers and traders meet standards like the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).

Together, the merged entity will deliver enhanced capabilities, such as, polygon-level farm mapping, deforestation risk monitoring, ESG (environmental, social, and governance) reporting automation, audit readiness, and supply chain tracking aligned with sustainability standards. This improves efficiency for companies already using one or both platforms by reducing platform duplication and streamlining compliance and traceability workflows.

From a strategic angle, the acquisition gives Agridence greater foothold in Europe via Farmer Connect’s existing client base, while giving Farmer Connect better access to sourcing and operations in Asia through Agridence’s networks. All existing Farmer Connect services will continue, with new features and capabilities to be added over time.
