Orissa International collaborated with Enterprise Singapore, SGTech, and the Singapore MedTech Consortium in Singapore, as well as MDEC and the Department of Industry and Trade in Malaysia, to coordinate a UK Trade Mission for 5 Singaporean and 3 Malaysian companies.
The Trade Mission is part of Orissa International’s overall efforts as the in-market promotion agency in Singapore and Malaysia, to promote West Midlands as a viable investment region.
The Trade Mission leverages a major trade and investment conference, held in conjunction with the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, covering 8 key sectors. From Monday, August 1 to Friday, August 5, the delegates are attending programs related to the following sectors: Data-Driven Healthcare, Low Carbon, Advanced Manufacturing, Creative, Digital & FinTech. They will be involved in presentations, plenary sessions, site visits, and valuable networking sessions with key decision-makers in the UK and in particular the West Midlands region. Beyond the primary programs in Birmingham, the delegates will also travel to Manchester and London to understand the opportunities in these regions.
The Trade mission kicked off with the first few companies arriving in Birmingham on Sunday, July 31. They were welcomed with an informal dinner and networking with representatives from the WMGC and delegates from other countries.
