Dontia Alliance (DA), Asia-based dental solutions company has introduced its first Advanced Implant Strategies Centre of Excellence or CoE (AIS Centre) in Penang, Malaysia. This launch marks the first step in DA’s vision to establish a vast and robust AIS Centre network that will contribute to its growing dental ecosystem in Asia.
The launch is in collaboration with SmileBay Dental Sdn. Bhd., a dental group in Penang with eight clinics across Malaysia. The partnership has created SmileBay Signature Advanced Implant Centre (SmileBay AIC) that acts as the first AIS Centre in Asia. SmileBay AIC, equipped with a laboratory and training facility in addition to its clinical practice, is SmileBay’s largest full-service implant center. AIS Centre, a concept newly introduced by DA, is a premier comprehensive implant center. They will utilize a streamlined consolidation of resources and expertise to enhance the practices of individual implant centers within the network.
Dental professionals at AIS Centers can expect to benefit from a broad array of educational courses, networking opportunities, and mentorships offered through the AIS program. These centers will act as educational hubs, offering training and updates on the latest dental materials, technologies, and techniques to keep practitioners informed of advancements in implant dentistry. Additionally, AIS Centers will promote the exchange of best practices among dentists and nurture a community focused on continuous learning and improvement. Over the next two years, four additional AIS Centers are scheduled to open in Singapore, Hong Kong (SAR), Vietnam, and the Philippines.
