Bosch Launches Training Program to Help Manufacturing Industry Prepare for Future

August 2020

German giant Bosch, through its Bosch Rexroth Training Centre (BRRTC), has launched its first Industry 4.0 program in Singapore, aiming to train about 1,500 technicians and engineers and also support 300 companies in the next five years. Beyond training, the center will also serve as a test bed for companies to collaborate on advanced manufacturing projects.

BRRTC will partner with Singapore Polytechnic to produce small modules to help manufacturers in their transformation efforts, while also offering, in collaboration with the Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce, a specialist course that will be rolled out at the beginning of next year focusing on areas such as business models in production and logistics, as well as technology related to cyber physical systems.

The course, a standardized AHK Industry 4.0 Specialist program, comprises 5 modules, totals more than 104 hours and it is built on German training standards while also being certified by the Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
