Enics AG (Enics), one of the biggest Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) providers in the world in the industrial electronics segment, is setting up its first manufacturing site in South East Asia and eighth globally, in Johor state in Malaysia.
Headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, Enics provides range of services from engineering, full-scale manufacturing and after sales services to sourcing and supply chain management. Enics’ new factory in Johor will also be a streamlined, highly automated electronics manufacturing unit, offering high-volume manufacturing solutions and services.
AME Elite Consortium Bhd (AME), a Malaysian integrated industrial space solutions provider is constructing the 10,000-square meter high-performance industrial electronics factory for Enics in AME’s i-Park@Senai Airport City industrial park. Production line equipment will be installed during last quarter of 2020 and the site will be inaugurated and start production in early 2021.
AME’s Group Managing Director Kelvin Lee Chai said the factory construction is projected to be completed in early 2021. The company is providing its comprehensive end-to-end in-house capabilities, such as project design and construction prowess, including using industrialized building systems. Kelvin stated that AME encourages more global players to participate in the development of its i-Park, which will be a full-service industrial park provider and thus further solidify Malaysia’s position as the best foreign direct investment (FDI) destination for international players.
