CelcomDigi Bhd, a Malaysian telecommunications provider, has entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd to collaborate on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into CelcomDigi’s network. This partnership aims to establish one of Malaysia’s most advanced 4G and 5G-ready networks.
The partnership seeks to leverage cross-domain data convergence from Huawei platforms, enabling a comprehensive understanding of the customer and service lifecycle. This will facilitate proactive user experience management and support seamless digital transformation across CelcomDigi’s network operations. The collaboration will also focus on enhancing CelcomDigi’s Radio Access Network (RAN), referred to as “IntelligentRAN,” by implementing a digital twin system for rapid experimentation with new network models. The partners anticipate the full integration of AI capabilities across all layers of wireless networks, positioning Malaysia at the forefront of network intelligence as AI technology advances. This initiative will also incorporate proactive network management through advanced analytics and multiple support systems, aimed at intelligently provisioning network services and improving customer experiences.
