The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) and the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) have formed a partnership aimed at improving the business environment in the Philippines and attracting more European investment. ECCP President Paulo Duarte highlighted the significance of this partnership, emphasizing a shared vision for a business-friendly setting and the commitment to advocate for ease of doing business through policy recommendations and active engagement with stakeholders.
Under this collaboration, ECCP will provide policy recommendations to ARTA and serve as a channel for receiving complaints from the business sector, professionals, and civil society organizations, thereby promoting responsiveness to business needs. ARTA Secretary Ernesto V. Perez emphasized the importance of this partnership in addressing investors’ concerns about ease of doing business, signaling a step towards assuring investors and ECCP members of the government’s dedication to facilitating business operations in the country.
