Nutricia, a popular brand from Europe for early life and Medical nutrition, recently announced its plan to enter the Philippines before the year ends. Nutricia is under the umbrella of food and beverage company Danone.
The company presented its portfolio, values, science and innovation history to over 300 healthcare practitioners during a special event in the Medical community held last August 2019 in the Philippines. Nutricia already has presence in key Asia Pacific markets, such as Singapore, Malaysia, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and soon in the Philippines.
As malnutrition remains to be a real challenge and one of the leading causes of child deaths in the Philippines, Nutricia aims to provide solutions to some of the country’s nutritional issues. The company plans to closely work together with the Medical community to help further understand and alleviate the nutritional issues in the country. According to the country manager of Nutricia, they have spent 3 years planning the services, educational programs, and products they could offer to Filipinos.
Nutricia will have two key divisions: One is Early Life Nutrition Division, which will focus on production and distribution of specialized food for babies and young children, the second is the Medical Nutrition Division, which will produce and markets special clinical nutrition, diet products and disease-specific nutrition.
