Nipro, Japan’s multinational medical corporation, has recently partnered with FPT Telecom’s FPT Medicare on a strategic cooperation agreement to deliver digital medical devices with international standards and affordability.
Through this partnership, the two firms aim to deliver intelligent medical devices and services in Vietnam. The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), particularly continuous bio-monitoring devices, is integrated with health platforms to furnish accessible personal health data and a comprehensive medical overview. FPT Medicare has secured complete authorization for the distribution of the Nipro Premier, α Blood Glucose Monitoring System, across all pharmacies and medical device outlets throughout Vietnam.
The blood glucose meter is made accessible in more than 1,600 Long Chau pharmacies and the FPT Telecom network covering four million households. The two parties have underlined how they aim to offer solutions to a minimum of one million individuals with diabetes, constituting approximately 20% of the Vietnamese market within the next three years.
FPT Medicare is utilizing technological innovation to address the anticipated rise in demand from individuals with chronic conditions. In December 2023, FPT Medicare launched a diabetic management platform that aims to establish personalized blood glucose testing schedules based on patient input.
Patient-input data will be used to produce an informative blood glucose report, accessible to caregivers and physicians upon request. The application incorporates features to empower patients to monitor their progress and improve treatment outcomes.
