Galaxy Data Center Announces USD 2 Billion Expansion Into Thailand

September 2025

Galaxy Data Center, a global provider of sustainable digital infrastructure, announced its expansion into Thailand with a planned investment of 2 billion USD. The project will establish a hyper-scale computing and green energy cluster in Rayong, within Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor. The initiative supports the Thailand 4.0 strategy, promoting investment in digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence sectors to drive long-term technological and economic growth.

The announcement was made during the “Prime Minister Meets Investors: Confidence in Thailand’s Future” forum on August 6, 2025, at the Peace and Friendship Building of the Government House. The event gathered senior government officials and executives from major international companies with investments in Thailand. Galaxy Data Center was among 30 leading global firms invited to participate in the dialogue.

Prior to the forum, Galaxy Data Center Founder Feng Hui met privately with Acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai, who also serves as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs. During the meeting, Mr. Feng outlined GDC’s vision to develop Thailand into a globally recognized hub for green digital industries.

The planned Rayong facility will combine high-performance computing capabilities with renewable energy solutions to support sustainable growth in Thailand’s digital economy. The project is expected to strengthen Thailand’s position as a regional leader in digital innovation and contribute to broader economic development objectives.
