Menteri Besar Kedah Incorporated (MBI Kedah) has launched the state’s Green Energy and Renewable Energy Master Plan which is supposed to provide guidance in Kedah’s renewable Energy industry for prospective investors. The plan developed in collaboration with Cypark Resource Bhd outlines four key thrusts, focusing on solar, biogas, biomass and hydroelectric power.
The master plan is consistent with the desire of the state government to drive economic growth in the state, without compromising on Environmental sustainability. Under the plan, the state aims to produce 2,000 Megawatts of renewable Energy by 2030, with an investment target of USD 1.5 billion over the next 10 years.
