Huawei Cloud and ULearning Provide E-Learning Solution in Indonesia

April 2020

Huawei Cloud and Singapore-based learning technology company ULearning have agreed to collaborate for a project providing an e-learning system Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta, one of Jakarta’s most prestigious private universities.

The e-learning solution is particularly relevant in the context of the COVID-19 outbreak. The two companies have decided to provide their e-learning solution at no cost during the period in which studying at home is mandatory in Indonesia because of the outbreak.

According to professors from the university, the e-learning platform is stimulating the creativity of lecturers and students, is improving administrative processes, and is encouraging students to actively participate to the lessons.

Huawei has also announced that it will work with the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia in providing online learning services for free to both educators and learners. It is making an investment of USD 2 million dollars to provide online learning services for tertiary, secondary, and primary educators and learners to access at their own convenience.
