Nestlé Investing USD 150 Million to Expand Production in Thailand

January 2021

To serve the rising demands and penetrate the e-commerce market, Nestlé has announced its investment strategy for long-term growth, investing over THB 4.5 billion (USD 150 million) to expand production in Thailand.
Production will be boosted at three factories that manufacture pet food, ice cream products, and UHT beverages, namely the  Amata Factory, the Bangchan Factory, and the Navanakorn 7 UHT Plant. This move will strengthen Nestle’s portfolio by focusing on environmentally-friendly innovations and breakthroughs.
Nestlé has also invested in the digitalization of its production lines by equipping them with advanced digital cameras. The cameras monitor the filling and packing lines to ensure flawless operation for greater efficiency.
According to Mr. Victor Seah, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Indochina, e-commerce in Thailand is booming, with consumers embracing the convenience of ordering groceries and food online.
