Private specialist hospital KPJ Healthcare and Samsung Electronics have commenced a partnership to advance precision medicine and diagnostics in Malaysia. The two parties plan to explore innovative technologies and collaborative opportunities, as stipulated in the memorandum of understanding (MoU) they recently signed.
KPJ Healthcare and Samsung Electronics will partner to develop and deploy precision medicine and diagnostic solutions, focusing on improving patient outcomes, reducing healthcare costs, and developing more effective drugs and treatments. Moreover, they will explore remote reporting system capabilities and smart hospital solutions. Local provider of medical equipment, devices and biomedical services, LAC Medical Supplies, will facilitate the collaboration, ensuring the provision of complete information, services, and training requirements.
KPJ Healthcare highlighted how assistive artificial intelligence (AI) diagnostic technology and data analytics can improve patient care through unified outpatient systems, intra-hospital use of telemedicine, clinical innovation centers, and modernized hospital information system development. This will be supported by the company’s s education arm, KPJ Healthcare University College, under its research management center.
