Smart Fertility Clinic’s Growth Continues with New Jakarta Branch Opening

August 2023

In July 2023, Smart Fertility Clinic inaugurated a new branch at Primaya Evasari Hospital in Central Jakarta. This marks the third branch of the expansion, following Primaya IVF Makassar and Smart Fertility Clinic North Bekasi. Smart Fertility Clinic operates under the umbrella of the Indonesia-based Primaya Hospital Group.

Using a Time-Lapse Incubator, the recently established clinic provides a variety of treatments, such as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), intracytoplasmic morphologically selected sperm injection (IMSI), advanced chromosome analysis using the PGTA/PGT-M method, ERA/MIRA for optimal embryo transfer, and the preservation of embryos, sperm, and oocytes.

In 2023, several flagship category clinics, as well as a number of smaller fertility clinics, have been established across various regions in Indonesia, including Central Java, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, and North Sumatra. These ventures are a response to the growing demand for fertility treatments among couples. In Jakarta, the requirement for fertility and in-vitro fertilization (IVF) programs correlates directly with the city’s population. Taking into consideration an infertility rate of 11% to 12% among couples in their reproductive years, Smart Fertility Clinic remains optimistic about catering to over 1,500 patients. There exists a substantial market potential for IVF services in Indonesia, with around 250,000 prospective couples seeking such treatment.
