Thailand’s latest AI-powered Dinsaw robot, the “Home AI Assistance,” is set to play a key role in delivering healthcare to the elderly at home, according to a report by The Nation. Developed by CT Asia Robotics, the robot aims to address issues arising from the country’s ageing population, including a rise in bedridden seniors and a shortage of caregivers.
Chalermpon Punnotok, founder and CEO of CT Asia Robotics, highlighted that the robot is designed to alleviate stress and loneliness among the elderly while supporting their medical care. It offers 24/7 care, enabling seniors to connect with medical staff via a monitor for prescriptions or ambulance services.
The robot’s features include a callback system for alerting medical personnel or relatives, real-time monitoring accessible through smartphones or laptops, and a vital signs function to track patient data. Chalermpon explained that this model functions like a companion, reminding users to take their medication and providing stress relief through music, dharma teachings, or memory games.
He also expressed confidence in Thailand’s ability to compete in the global robotics industry, stating that the country should utilise its strengths to develop AI solutions that cater to the future needs of its ageing population, thereby enhancing national value.
