Cyber Elite, a cybersecurity firm based in Bangkok, Thailand, has announced a partnership with Zscaler, a US-based cloud security provider. The aim of the collaboration is to offer managed web cloud security services to Thai enterprises, and to capitalize on the growing market for IT security in Thailand. Zscaler is a leading cybersecurity firm and has been globally recognized for its cloud security solutions. It is one of the largest cybersecurity firms in the world and is a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant.
This partnership comes at a time when more Thai businesses are transitioning to digital via cloud. Approximately 56% of Thai companies are on the path of digital transformation, up from 12% before the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, demand for cloud security services has surged from organizations engaged in multi-cloud usage.
The partnership between Cyber Elite and Zscaler will enable them to become the “first mover” in offering high-level cloud security services in the Thai market. The target groups include the financial sector, such as banks and insurance firms, as well as the government sector and large enterprises that are moving towards digital transformation, cloud adoption, and cybersecurity embracement.
Zscaler has decided to open its second ASEAN office in Thailand. The country has a large 5G user base, is a regional digital hub, and has many data centers, all of which are driving demand for security services.
According to industry estimates, Thailand’s IT security market is expected to be worth THB 15 billion in 2023, up from THB 12 billion in 2022. The cloud market value in Thailand is also expected to grow 40% this year, which is higher than the global average of 30%.
