PLN Nusantara Power, a subsidiary of Indonesia’s state-owned electricity provider, PLN, recently engaged in talks with representatives from nine German companies to explore cooperation opportunities in renewable energy infrastructure. The visit was organized by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. During the meeting, the CEO of PLN Nusantara Power expressed gratitude for the German delegation’s visit, highlighting the importance of technological transformation in Indonesia’s electricity sector.
The German companies conveyed their interest in partnering and investing with PLN Nusantara Power, a key player dedicated to enhancing Indonesia’s energy infrastructure. They focus on supporting the sustainable electricity supply needed for the development of Nusantara, the new capital city in East Kalimantan.
The CEO of PLN Nusantara Power expressed the company’s openness to sharing knowledge and insights with German firms while actively exploring potential investment opportunities, especially in renewable energy projects in Nusantara. He emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting sustainable energy initiatives and welcomed the chance to collaborate on synergies, particularly at the international level, to strengthen energy solutions.
The regional manager for Asia and Oceania at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action highlighted that the German delegation and the German-Indonesian Chamber of Commerce visited Indonesia to evaluate PLN Nusantara Power’s capabilities in advancing renewable energy projects. He expressed strong confidence in PLN Nusantara Power’s potential to drive renewable energy development across Indonesia through various initiatives and international partnerships.
PLN Nusantara Power has made significant progress in renewable energy, completing projects such as the 192 MWp Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant and the 50 MW Nusantara Solar Power Plant. The company is also advancing several other major green energy initiatives, including the 100 MWp Karangkatas Floating Solar Power Plant, the 35 MWp Tembesi Solar Power Plant, the 70 MW Tanah Laut Wind Power Plant, and the 510 MW Batang Toru Hydroelectric Power Plant.
