The Philippines will soon host its largest hyperscale data center at the Narra Technology Park, a USD 2.7 billion project aimed at bolstering digital infrastructure. Located on a 47-hectare site in New Clark City, Tarlac, the data center will feature a 300-megawatt (MW) capacity powered entirely by renewable energy within the first five years.
Led by Narra Technology Park Development Inc. (NTPDI), the project will proceed in three phases, each delivering 100 MW at a cost of approximately $890 million, plus an additional $35 million for site development. The first phase is set for completion by Q4 2026.
William Johnson, NTPDI’s Managing Director, highlighted New Clark City’s suitability due to its ample land, infrastructure, and proximity to Metro Manila and Clark Freeport, which provides essential resources and skilled labor.
Narra Technology Park emphasizes eco-friendly practices with energy-efficient technologies, advanced cooling systems, and renewable energy. NTPDI seeks green certifications like the Philippine Green Building Council’s BERDE and LEED standards. The facility’s design, adaptable to single off taker operation, aims to enhance the Philippines’ data management capabilities and set a precedent for future sustainable digital infrastructure projects.
