Under a cooperation agreement between the authorities of Ho Chi Minh City (HCM City) and Incheon City, a conference on Medical tourism was held in October in HCM City to discuss opportunities for Medical tourism for companies from Vietnam and South Korea.
South Korea is one of the global top destinations for Medical tourism. The president of the Incheon International Medical Council cited that Vietnam ranks 7th on the list of countries from where tourists come to Incheon to receive Medical treatments, mostly general health checks and cosmetics surgeries. Meanwhile, HCM City’s authorities are promoting Medical tourism in an effort to provide multiple services to foreign tourists, including those from South Korea.
During the conference, business people from the two sides shared information on advanced healthcare technology and incentives from the government to attract investment. A representative office of Incheon City has opened in HCM City in the occasion of the conference, with the purpose to act as a bridge connecting businesses of the two cities for future collaborations.
