Frozen Wheels, a US-based distributor of food and personal protective equipment (PPE), announced the opening of an office in Thailand for sourcing powder-free nitrile examination gloves. The company hopes to take control of the supply chain by setting up a local office in the country.
This step was taken in response to the challenges faced by healthcare facilities in the US to source quality gloves with FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approvals in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Frozen Wheels also announced that it is in the final stages to sign two new contracts for a total of 500 million additional gloves that will be in the USA in 2020.
The company was expecting to hire the 10 employees within a short time period to oversee the contracts and supply chain for inspection and timely delivery to the US. In addition, the Thai office plans to source additional contracts and create relationships with the local industry.
