Australian Water Specialist Waterco Expands Presence in Vietnam

February 2023

Waterco, a Sydney-based water treatment and pool equipment manufacturer, has expanded its commercial footprint to Vietnam by establishing a sales and service center in Ho Chi Minh City, fully operational in December 2022. This marks Waterco’s accomplishment in broadening Southeast Asia’s access to clean water through advanced technical support to B2B and B2C customers, distributors and dealers.

After 40 years in the water industry, Waterco has established a significant presence in Southeast Asian nations such as Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia. Due to rising industrialization, urbanization, and climate change, the water infrastructure sector in Vietnam is predicted to increase at a rate of 7% per year between 2017 and 2026, offering considerable potential investment opportunities. In particular, demand for water filtration and sanitization equipment in Vietnam is rising as a result of the economic recovery post Covid-19, especially strong in the hotel, industrial, and construction sectors.

Following its commercial expansion, Waterco hopes to further advance customer education on water filtration systems in addition to providing innovative products and better customer service. Waterco also recently launched Waterco Advance, an e-learning platform that offers information, seminars, and mini-workshops to instill knowledge on the importance of using clean, safe water and the selection of equipment to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
