LKL International Expands Medical Devices Portfolio with Partners from Germany and Japan

July 2023

A distributorship agreement (DA) has been concluded between LKL International Bhd (LIB), a Malaysian medical products manufacturer and two foreign medical devices suppliers, SECA GmBH & Co KG (SECA) and Meditop Corporation (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (MCSB). The deals were made through LIB’s subsidiaries, LKL Advance Metaltech Sdn Bhd (LAM) and Medik Gen Sdn Bhd (MGSB).

LKL Advance Metaltech, which specializes in medical furniture and equipment, will be handling the distribution of German-based SECA’s medical devices, accessories and related spare parts and software. The products range will cover precise patient measurements, such as medical scales and body composition analyzers. Meanwhile, Medik Gen will market and distribute Japan-based TOP Corporation medical products in West Malaysia. The agreement includes TOP brand medical devices for treatment, procedure, surgery and diagnosis for pharmaceutical and cosmetics companies, home care use and veterinary.

Executive director of LIB, Zulkarnin Ariffin stated that the company aims to diversify and develop its product line while expanding its presence in the healthcare industry by teaming up with strong brands like SECA and MCSB. Future goals for LIB include expanding its healthcare offering and adopting similar distributorship arrangements for medical equipment to advance its healthcare portfolio and Malaysia’s healthcare sector.
