Vivant Corporation, a Philippine-based holding company that is focused on energy generation and distribution services, announced that it has awarded two new solar project contracts to Malaysian solar energy system specialist Solarvest. This marks the maiden entry of Solarvest in the Philippines.
The first solar project awarded involves engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning works for solar PV (photovoltaic) systems at 10 designated buildings, with cumulative capacity of 816.2-kilowatt peak (kWp), at the University San Agustin in Iloilo City, which is currently ongoing. The second solar project awarded to Solarvest is the development of a 377.52 kWp solar PV systems for the Bulihan Industrial Park located in Bulacan.
Vivant Energy is the fully owned subsidiary of Vivant Corporation that manages the parent company’s investment in energy distribution and generation, retail electricity supply and energy-related engineering solutions in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Vivant Energy combines existing and emerging technologies to develop energy solutions for industries and institutions. The company has become a major player in the SPUG market (Small Power Utilities Group), providing energy that powers industries and communities in several off-grid areas in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Solarvest is a Malaysian solar turnkey EPCC service provider, and has large scale solar PV projects, as well as residential, commercial and industrial properties projects in its portfolio.
