Duck Donuts, a US-based franchise known for its warm, made-to-order donuts, has opened its first store in the Philippines. Located in Angono St., Makati City, this new outlet is the largest among its over 160 locations worldwide.
Duck Donuts’ unique selling point is allowing customers to choose their coatings and toppings, creating personalized donuts with a dense, cake-like texture. The Makati store, managed by Bravo Best Foods Corporation, features a family-friendly environment where customers can watch their donuts being made fresh.
Bravo Best Foods Corporation CEO Edilberto Bravo expressed enthusiasm for bringing Duck Donuts to the Filipino market, highlighting plans to open 25 locations across the country over the next six years. The second store is set to open in the Ayala Circuit Mall in July.
The grand opening event saw attendance from local officials, business leaders, and diplomats, including Congressman Luis Campos, Jr., and US Ambassador to the Philippines, Mary Kay Carlson. Carlson noted the significance of Duck Donuts in fostering economic and cultural ties between the US and the Philippines.
