A new National Food Hub is set to rise in Clark, aiming to become the Philippines’ largest agro-logistics facility. The PHP 8.5 million (USD 150,000) project will span 62 hectares within the Clark aviation complex, addressing key challenges in the food supply chain, such as inadequate cold storage and inefficient logistics.
The hub will aggregate, store, and distribute agricultural products, especially from northern Luzon, with the goal of reducing middlemen, supporting farmers, and minimizing agricultural waste. Guided by plans from the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Trade and Industry, the project is part of a broader Three-Year Food Logistic Action Agenda.
Expected to be completed by 2027 through a public-private partnership, the hub will focus on local distribution while exploring export opportunities in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. The initiative aims to bolster food security and transform the Philippines into a key food distribution center in the Asia-Pacific region.
