US-based data management company InterSystems has partnered with Indonesian electronic medical record (EMR) provider Zi.Care to deliver services through the InterSystems IRIS for Health™ – Indonesia edition data platform. Under this agreement, Zi.Care will market the IRIS for Health platform, branded as Zi.Care HUB, to assist healthcare providers in managing their EMR data for integration with the Indonesian government’s SATUSEHAT national health data platform.
Zi.Care plans to migrate its existing EMR system to the InterSystems platform, which will support product innovation. The upgraded Zi.Care HIS will include features such as medical device connectivity and improved data interoperability, aiming to enhance the experience for both healthcare providers and patients. The company also intends to upgrade its Zi.Care Mobile App to better engage patients.
With the InterSystems IRIS for Health platform, Zi.Care aims to simplify compliance with SATUSEHAT and provide healthcare providers with a repository of normalized HL7® FHIR® data. This will enable connections to medical devices, mobile apps, and other data sources, facilitating advanced analytics to improve patient care and streamline operations.
Zi.Care’s CEO, Jessy Abdurrahman, indicated that this partnership would accelerate the digitization of healthcare in Indonesia. The collaboration is expected to help Zi.Care add 170 hospitals to its existing customer base of 130 by the end of 2024, enhancing interoperability and operational efficiency in the healthcare sector.
