China Energy Engineering to Build 90-MW Solar Farm in Thailand

In April 2020, a unit of China Energy Engineering Corp (CEEC), China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Co Ltd, signed a contract worth around USD 500 million to design and install a 90-MW Photothermal and Photovoltaic Hybrid Power Station in Thailand.

The project, located in Changwat Khon Kaen, involves the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the project. In addition to the solar facilities, China Gezhouba Group International Engineering will also be in charge of the construction of a 2 km, 230 kV supporting transmission line. The tentative contract term is of 30 months.

CEEC is a Chinese state-owned energy conglomerate provides energy infrastructure construction services. It builds hydropower stations, power plants, and other infrastructure.
