Connell, a US-headquartered leading marketer and distributor of specialty chemicals recently bought Inno-Cosmic Sdn Bhd and Nation Maple, two distributors of instant beverage raw materials in Malaysia. The acquisition will further expand Connell’s product line and enhance its presence in the region.
Connell’s President and CEO Dr Azita Owlia stated that with the long-standing local presence and specialized knowledge of Inno-Cosmic as well as the international network of Connell, this could demonstrate the company’s commitment in providing wider premium brands in the market. Connell’s Regional Director KK Chee said the acquisition can help to offer expanded innovative solutions for the customers, which could strengthen the company’s track record in the food and nutrition market.
Managing Director of Inno-Cosmic, Loh Kok Wai added that leveraging on Connell’s position in the nutrition and pharmaceutical segments would also bring significant benefits to their clients, suppliers, distributors, and partners. Inno-Cosmic is currently working on innovative solutions in the plant-based dairy alternative drinks market.
