FedEx Expands Dangerous Goods Logistics Solutions in Thailand

March 2024

FedEx has broadened its one-stop-shop (OSS) logistics services catering to dangerous goods in Chiang Mai and Lamphun, Thailand, a move poised to benefit local enterprises in these regions.

This expansion facilitates the export and import of dangerous goods, spanning electronic devices, adhesives, bleaches, and paints, utilizing FedEx International Priority service, as outlined in the company’s announcement. Handling potentially hazardous materials with due diligence, FedEx ensures safe packing, marking, labeling, and documentation, overseen by trained personnel to guarantee secure transportation to their designated destinations.

FedEx Express has highlighted the escalating demand for exporting dangerous goods from northern Thailand, home to numerous manufacturers and laboratories. The expansion of this suite of logistics services equips more local businesses, particularly in electronics, aerospace, medical, and chemicals, with essential tools to meet burgeoning customer demands, unlocking cross-border trade opportunities for Thai enterprises.

FedEx has introduced various services, including API solutions enabling e-tailers to integrate FedEx shipping services into their platforms seamlessly. Additionally, FedEx Ship Manager Lite offers package shipping without the necessity of printing documents.
