Good Doctor Technology Indonesia Launches Telemedicine App

April 2021

PT Good Doctor Technology Indonesia (GDTI) has officially launched its smartphone app in the Indonesian market, offering teleconsulting services, online medicine purchases, and medical appointments. The move aims to make healthcare services more accessible throughout the country. The Good Doctor app is already available to download for free on the Google PlayStore and iOS App Store.
Established in Indonesia in 2019, GDTI is a health-tech company often known for being the official partner of Grab in rolling out the GrabHealth service in Indonesia. Following its partnership with Grab, Good Doctor has released its own Good Doctor integrated healthcare app with the vision of ‘One Doctor for One Family in South East Asia.’ In addition to its telemedicine services, the app also has an e-commerce feature and a one-hour delivery policy to help users purchase various health and fitness products easily. At present, GDTI’s app has approximately 2,000 pharmacy partners and connections with over 1,000 medical institutions across Indonesia.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Good Doctor’s services have experienced an 8 to 10-fold increase in usage. The company accommodates more than 10,000 teleconsultations per day. The expertise of Good Doctor’s medical professionals comprises all healthcare sectors, including geriatric, pediatric and maternity nursing, skin and beauty, and chronic diseases.
A telemedicine survey by Nielsen in September 2020 estimates that of the total population of internet users in Indonesia, only 47% of internet users use telemedicine applications, showing that there is room for telemedicine applications to continue to grow.
