Nestlé Indonesia Partners with American Innovation Platform Plug and Play

January 2021

Nestlé Indonesia has signed a partnership agreement with Plug and Play, a global innovation platform headquartered in Silicon Valley. Through the partnership, Nestlé will be able to tap into Plug and Play’s innovation expertise and ecosystem of startups, corporations and investors. The goal is for the company to drive its innovation capabilities for future food technologies and solutions across South East Asia.
Plug and Play’s accelerator programs were started in 2006 and have since grown to have 30 locations, with over 30,000 start-ups and 400 official corporate partners. In 2016, Indonesian President Joko Widodo invited Plug and Play to accelerate the country’s innovation efforts within its startup ecosystem.
Besides Nestlé, other corporations who have joined the GK-Plug and Play Program include Astra International, Bank BNI, Bank BCA, ITM, Sinarmas Group, and the Global Innovation Alliance.
