PLDT Enterprise and Charoen Pokphand Foods Join Forces to Bring Connectivity to Rural Farming

April 2024

PLDT Enterprise, the corporate arm of telecommunications and digital services provider PLDT Inc., has announced a strategic partnership with Charoen Pokphand Foods Philippines Corp. (CPF Philippines), a subsidiary of Thailand’s Charoen Pokphand Group Company, Ltd. This collaboration aims to enhance operational efficiency, business continuity and climate resiliency in the aqua and agro-industry sectors.

CPF Philippines, known for its aquatic and agricultural products, will digitize its nationwide operations by integrating PLDT Enterprise’s digital solutions throughout its supply chain, aiming to improve efficiency in aquatic farms. The partnership enables CPF Philippines to utilize PLDT’s Enterprise Broadband for connectivity in aquatic farms, iGate Premium Circuits for robust data handling, and Metro E-WAN for secure communications. These solutions, along with PLDT’s mobile and pocket WiFi services, aim to improve business communication and connectivity across CPF Philippines’ network of operations.

CPF Philippines’ colocation in VITRO Clark (Pampanga) data centers – another PLDT subsidiary – will also ensure secure and reliable data handling, which are critical during disaster recovery and business continuity. Through this alliance, PLDT Enterprise and CPF Philippines aspire to contribute to the growth and sustainability of the agriculture sector through digital innovation.
