Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has announced a partnership with Super Micro Computer Inc. to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its three upcoming data centers in Pampanga, Laguna, and Caloocan. The agreement, formalized through a memorandum of understanding, includes the provision of AI and cloud solutions by Super Micro, a Nasdaq-listed company known for its advanced server and storage solutions.
Super Micro Computer Inc., headquartered in San Jose, California, specializes in high-performance computing, storage, and networking solutions. The company’s technology supports a wide range of applications, including AI, cloud computing, and data center management.
The collaboration will focus on deploying AI applications in smart manufacturing and machine learning, utilizing Supermicro’s servers designed for advanced AI computing and deep learning tasks. This partnership is expected to enhance operational efficiency and economic benefits, with AI tools projected to generate significant revenue and cost savings for Philippine companies by 2030.
In addition, Converge will implement Supermicro’s liquid cooling solutions to reduce energy consumption by up to 40%, aiming to lower both environmental impact and operational costs.
Converge is also advancing major infrastructure projects, including the Bifrost Cable System and the South-East Asia Hainan-Hong Kong Express Cable System (SEA-H2X). The Bifrost project will connect the Philippines with Singapore, Indonesia, Guam, and North America, while SEA-H2X will link the Philippines with Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. Additionally, the company is working on a joint fiber optic network project with Globe Telecom Inc., scheduled for completion by the third quarter of this year.
