AG&P’s Philippine subsidiary has forged a partnership with Visayas Neceboley Interlink Holdings Corp. (VNIHC) for a substantial USD 15 billion government infrastructure initiative in the central Visayas region. Under the National Economic and Development Authority, AG&P Industrial and VNIHC will oversee project management, construction, and delivery, with engineering and pre-construction activities set to commence in the second quarter of the current year.
Dubbed “Neceboley,” the endeavor seeks to establish connectivity between Visayas provinces Negros, Cebu, Bohol, and Leyte through a comprehensive network of four-lane bridges and expanded expressways, backed by a consortium of global partners. VNIHC, endorsed as the original proponent by provincial authorities, assumes responsibility for developing, operating, and maintaining the extensive 238.05-kilometer infrastructure, which aims to foster crucial connectivity and drive regional advancements in industrialization, urbanization, foreign investment, ecotourism, and environmental conservation across the Visayas.
AG&P Industrial president Alex Gamboa emphasized the project’s potential to transform the Visayas into a major business hub and boost socio-economic development, building on AG&P’s track record of significant infrastructure projects in the Philippines.
